Met someone at a festival recently? A two-week reconnection plan
In the first two weeks after a show, record the event date, city, meeting area and one conversation you shared. Search the board for those details, post a short invitation, and share your own link only in communities that allow it.
Day 1: capture the moment
Write the event name, city, exact day, approximate time and the part of the venue where you talked. Add a conversation, joke, song or helpful act that the other person might remember. Do not publish someone else’s photo or collect their personal details.
Days 2–3: search a few ways
People remember different details. Search the artist or stage, then the place you met, and then a phrase from your conversation. Use the event date to narrow results. If nothing appears, you can still write your own post.
Days 3–7: tell a short story
Open with what happened between you, not a description of a stranger you watched. Give the reader enough context to recognize the moment and a gentle reason to reply. Save one answer to a recognition question for private replies.
Days 7–14: share carefully
A post has a better chance if people from the same show see it. Ask a group moderator if self-promotion or missed connections are unclear under its rules. Share your own story once with a direct link; do not repeatedly tag strangers or ask a crowd to investigate someone.
After that: let it breathe
The board displays active posts for 60 days, and you can close or delete yours sooner. Check the same browser for replies because guest inboxes have no email recovery or notification yet. There is no guarantee the person will find it or want to respond.
