Before the
next hello.
What is a festival missed connection?
It is a short post about someone you actually met at a show but did not exchange contact details with. You describe the shared moment and invite them to reply if they recognize it and want to reconnect.
Is After the Encore a dating app?
It is a missed-connections board, not a profile-swiping app. Your post can be about a romantic spark, a concert friend, or someone you wanted to thank. A reply is always optional.
Can I use it for concerts outside the United States?
Yes. A post can name a concert or festival in any city. Include the country, city, and event date to distinguish different editions. The interface is currently in English; you can write your story in your own language.
Can I browse without signing in?
Yes. Browsing is public. To post or reply, start a private inbox on this browser with one click. It uses a secure session, with no email or password. Use this same browser to return: clearing browser data loses inbox access.
Are posts and replies free?
There is no charge to post or reply in this version. No membership or payment system is installed.
What should I put in my post?
Include the festival or concert, city, date, stage or meeting area, and what you shared. Use a nickname, keep identifying details off the board, and ask a question only the person you met might answer.
Can everyone see a reply?
No. The initial reply, recognition answer, and author response are available only to those two accounts. This version supports one initial reply per person per post and an editable author response.
Will I get an email when someone replies?
Not yet. Check Private inbox on the site. There are no email notifications. Your inbox stays with this browser.
How long does a post stay visible?
An active post leaves the public board after 60 days. You can close it earlier or delete it in My posts. Expiration closes public visibility; deletion removes the post and its replies and reports from the app.
What does a correct recognition answer prove?
It is a clue, not identity verification. Keep your boundaries, take your time, and never send money, verification codes, or sensitive documents because someone claims to recognize you.
Is this an official festival service?
No. After the Encore is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any festival, venue, or artist.
Who can use the site?
Adults 18 and older looking to reconnect with another adult after a real interaction. Do not use it to identify, track, or pressure a stranger.
